Allianz Global Investors offers excellent products, covering all major equity and fixed-income investment styles and providing balanced products as well as alternative investment solutions. We have organized our business into two global lines: Fixed Income and Equities, with PIMCO serving as the global investment company for Fixed Income and RCM for Equities. Nicholas-Applegate, Oppenheimer Capital, and NFJ Investment Group serve as specialist managers.
AllianzGI in the UK
In the UK we offer a range of 17 open ended investment companies (‘OEICs’) to retail investors, with a combined AuM of £1.6bn.
Our range of UK and International equity funds are managed by RCM, the specialist global equity company of Allianz Global Investors. With offices strategically located in the US, Europe and Asia, investment opportunities are identified by RCM’s global research platform of sector-based career analysts. This investment philosophy was founded in the 1970s and continues to be the cornerstone of RCM’s process. Because RCM places such importance on understanding the stocks selected for the funds, they have developed an innovative research resource known as Grassroots®. Using a field force of 325 independent researchers and investigators, Grassroots® blends original market research with investigative journalism in order to uncover and measure demand in the market place for specific products and services. We believe this provides RCM with an information advantage in identifying potential investment opportunities.
Our bond funds are managed by PIMCO - the global fixed income company of Allianz Global Investors and one of the world's leading fixed income fund management companies. Founded in 1971 and headquartered in Newport Beach, California, PIMCO’s offices today are also located in London, Amsterdam, Munich, Toronto, New York, Singapore, Sydney, Hong Kong and Tokyo. As well as retail investors, the company manages assets for central banks, multinational corporations and individual investors. PIMCO’s Total Return Fund is the world’s largest actively managed bond fund (please note this fund is based in the US and is not available to UK investors).
